Postcard

 


For some reason the back won't upload. It is white with my tag brush and lines for writing. I had fun making this because was simple and easy. I'm from Boston Mass so this is how I'd make a post card themed Boston.




I wanted to have a picture of the city, but I thought a cartoon version would be more fitting on a post card.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xTzvQkOll2U I believe the Polygonal lasso tool will be easy to use. It create selections with straight edges. Im going to use this when I need to outline shapes. I will use it to isolate part of an image so I can work on that area without affecting the rest of the image. You can paint on any layer like with a real paintbrush. Lots of different colors/settings to choose too. I felt this was interesting because the step by step learning was extremely understanding.

I feel this feature will be easy to as its not very complicated.  I might use this feature in Magazine or book making. It should be really helpful if there is a project ahead that involves that. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BuE8JpajmgY In this video he explains the paragraph styles feature. This feature can control the font size, or color to determine how the text in a paragraph looks. It's extremely helpful and can organize things well. Can also organize formatting. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AshfNo-i8Ws In Adobe InDesign, the "Text Wrap" tool is a feature that allows you to control the flow of text around images or other objects in your layout. This feature would take a little getting used to for me. Should be helpful as it creates a boundary around the object that repels text.

Calliegramme Project Tommy Galvin

  For this project I mainly used the Pen and type on path tools. I wanted to make my picture unique. I had a vision for it with a slanted 3D window. I was inspired by pictures of Yatch's in Miami I didn't really fulfill it, but I tried my best. It looks a lot more messy than I wanted it to but I learned a lot about Adobe illustrator in this process.  My Letter: Dear Tommy in 20 years,             I hope you’re doing well. I am 18 years old right now so you would be 38. I’m currently in my first year at Utampa, I feel like I’m already used to everything already. I can’t even imagine your character development by now.
