Introducing Tommy

Hello, my name is Tommy Galvin and I'm from Haverhill, Massachusetts. I'm a freshman here at the University of Tampa. In high school I played football and baseball. My favorite accomplishment in my high school years was setting the school record for receiving yards in the last football game of the season. I love going to the gym and playing sports which lead me to choose sport management as my major here at UT. I've been asked why I'm in a digital media class if I'm majoring in sport management and I honestly don't know. My schedule got switched around on the first few days of classes and I'm here. I'm not mad though, I read the description and had a great first impression in our first class. I was interested in the videos played about the first colored Mac computer, and also this first assignment. I feel it could help me start a business in the future. I expect this class to be one of my favorites because I'm actually interested. I'm looking forward to it.

This college life is extremely different from the life I lived in Massachusetts so far. Waking up everyday with so much freedom and time on my hands is obviously different, but living in Tampa over a thousand miles away from my family is a commitment. Nobody from my town really left New England except my two roommates who were my two best friends in high school. This new life is exciting and I haven't really talked about it until typing this right now.

I will use it to isolate part of an image so I can work on that area without affecting the rest of the image. You can paint on any layer like with a real paintbrush. Lots of different colors/settings to choose too. I felt this was interesting because the step by step learning was extremely understanding.

I feel this feature will be easy to as its not very complicated.  I might use this feature in Magazine or book making. It should be really helpful if there is a project ahead that involves that. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BuE8JpajmgY In this video he explains the paragraph styles feature. This feature can control the font size, or color to determine how the text in a paragraph looks. It's extremely helpful and can organize things well. Can also organize formatting. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AshfNo-i8Ws In Adobe InDesign, the "Text Wrap" tool is a feature that allows you to control the flow of text around images or other objects in your layout. This feature would take a little getting used to for me. Should be helpful as it creates a boundary around the object that repels text.

Through the Internet, people can share information and communicate from anywhere with an Internet connection.  Scientists  Vinton Cerf and Robert Kahn  can be recognized on the shortlist of people credited as inventors of the internet. O n January 1, 1983, researchers began to assemble the “network of networks” that became the modern Internet  came up with the Transmission Control Protocol and Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), the standard for how information is shared between different networks.
